The heel-to-toe height ratio—not to mention the sock-like upper—owe their inspiration to the Air Max 93. As for the name? It's a reference to the fact that this latest outsole features 270 degrees of wrap-around Air at the heel. (Also, 180 plus 93 is 273, which is pretty close to 270.)
